Let me express to you and your colleagues – deputies of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia – sincere gratitude for prompt ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
We highly appreciate that Latvian deputies, who were among first MPs of the EU member-states to ratify this important for our country document, supported Ukraine's European choice.
I consider this symbolic gesture a display of real solidarity of Latvian people with Ukraine in this difficult time.
I am sure that starting a new stage in relations with the EU will allow us to efficiently use the potential of inter-parliamentary cooperation for both accelerating the process of Ukraine's entering the common European space, and developing mutually beneficial and partnership cooperation between Ukraine and Latvia.
Taking this opportunity, I wish you sound health and success in your responsible political activity, and I wish your compatriots peace and welfare.
